We saw Suda 51 during Nintendo’s Switch presentation and he did say that Travis Touchdown (the protagonist for No More Heroes) is going to appear in a Nintendo Switch game so yeah, the third No More Heroes game is very likely. We already know about the Switch version of Monster Hunter XX (X is Generations for Western audiences) so skip that… No More Heroes 3. I’d say this is highly plausible, but then again I’ve been expecting a Metroid announcement since I started writing for this site so I’ll downgrade this to just plausible. There are no signs that this is real, but it’s been too long since we’ve seen a true Metroid game. A 2D Metroid on the Nintendo 3DS also gives Nintendo a big title for it’s handheld. We haven’t seen a 2D Metroid since Metroid Fusion on the Gameboy Advance in 2002 – that’s been a long time! The “Metroidvania” genre remains popular on the indie scene, and I know Nintendo is smart enough to ignore the sales performance of Metroid Prime: Federation Force and give the Metroid franchise another try.

We all know about Dragon Quest XI and Fire Emblem Warriors so check those two, now we get to… Metroid 2D!!! If this is true, this is going to be one of the announcements that is going to make a splash with Nintendo fans. I mean, why not, right? If Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 saw releases on the Switch, then Super Mario Maker and Super Smash Bros. for Switch have both been highly rumored since Nintendo announced that remakes of Wii U games would be released for the Switch. Super Mario Maker Deluxe and Super Smash Bros. So maybe Nintendo is going back to Sarasaland so that Luigi and Daisy can star in their own adventure. Sarasaland is the world featured in the first ever Mario game on the Gameboy, Super Mario Land… Why revisit it after all these years? And why revisit it in a Luigi’s Mansion game instead of a Mario platformer? But then I remembered that Super Mario Land featured Daisy’s first appearance, and Daisy has been presented as Luigi’s partner in the same way that Peach is Mario’s. Not that a third entry in the Luigi’s Mansion franchise is unlikely, especially since the Dark Moon (the second game in the series) was a success, it’s the subtitle that makes me wonder about it. As for Luigi’s Mansion 3 – this was the first title on the list that really made me scratch my head.

Mario Party 11 – eh, who cares? It’s a good title to release for the Switch to promote multiplayer sessions on the go, and I can imagine the variety of mini games that you can have thanks to the Jo圜on. We just had recent releases for the Kirby franchise so I’m doubtful that we’ll see any new Kirby games this soon. These are the first titles that make me question the validity of the entire list altogether – I’d say it’s unlikely for any Kirby games to be announced next week. I mean, we got Kirby and the Rainbow Curse on the Wii U last 2015 and Kirby: Planet Robobot for the 3DS last year, so isn’t it a little too early for new Kirby games? Is Defenders of Dreamland a game that expands on the mechanics of the Team Kirby Clash mini-game that was included in Planet Robobot, a multiplayer co-op style Kirby game? I don’t know. The untitled Kirby for the Switch and (pardon me for skipping down the list) Kirby: Defenders of Dreamland is a little questionable. The subtitle “Broken Alliance” also fits the theme of the franchise well, so this title is very likely to be true. One of those games is going to be Fire Emblem Warriors so it’s not out of the ordinary to announce what the other Fire Emblem game is going to be. There hasn’t been a mainline Pikmin game since 2013 and the franchise does have a decent following, so the reveal of a new Pikmin game is certainly plausible.ĭuring the Fire Emblem Direct event earlier this year, Nintendo already confirmed that there will be two Fire Emblem games scheduled for release on the Switch. Hey! Pikmin is coming out next month on the Nintendo 3DS but this entry is specifically for the Switch so this is probably not that. Pikmin 4 has been rumored since 2015, with Shigeru Miyamoto himself talking about the game on various occasions. More details on the Shin Megami Tensei title for the Switch to be shown during Nintendo’s E3 Showcase is highly certain, but it’s up in the air if this is truly the fifth entry or not.
#E3 2017 GAME LIST LEAK SERIES#
What’s uncertain is if this is going to be the fifth entry in the main series or another SMT spin-off title. Mario crosses paths with another 3rd party franchise – this time around, it’s with Ubisoft’s Rabbids franchise.Īs for Shin Megami Tensei V… Atlus has already confirmed the release of a Shin Megami Tensei title for the Switch, currently named HD Project.
